Susan - visionary and entrepreneur

Susan keeps us on track towards our vision - to be a full time performing group. She is a driven person having lived a varied and vastly interesting life.

She's a licensed pilot, a musician, an Occupational Therapist, a published writer and presenter and owner of her own company. Whew! Somehow in all of that she manages to keep her playing up to snuff. And here's a little secret - Susan is married to our tuba player, Alex!

Susan Thompson holds her music degree from Florida State University where she studied Euphonium with Paul Ebbers and Trombone with William Cramer. She has advanced study in conducting at the New England Conservatory of Music.

Susan has performed euphonium and bass trombone with the Dallas Wind Symphony, the Florida Wind Band, the Brass Band of Central Florida and the Dallas Wind Symphony Tuba Quartet.

Although Susan is an accomplished musician, she also holds a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from Texas Woman's University and provides therapy to adults and children with injuries and disabilities. She is the founder of Handy Learning Seminars and is recognized nationally as a speaker and presenter.
