Amy - funny and phenomenal

Amy has a dry sense of humor that keeps us all on our toes. She's the quiet one in our group, but don't be fooled--she is a monster player!

Amy has two children and a third on the way. As you can imagine, she keeps very busy with her performances and being a wonderful mother.

Amy Stokes is a much sought-after freelance hornist in the DFW area and holds music degrees from the University of North Texas and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She studied with William Scharnberg while at UNT where she completed her Master's Degree in Performance.

She has performed on 15 recording projects with the North Texas Wind Symphony for the Klavier and GIA labels. As a hornist with the renowned Lone Star Wind Orchestra, she has performed on its premiere recording American Tapestry.

Ms Stokes teaches private lessons in the DFW area and has served as the horn instructor at Midwestern State University.
